A room of its own
In one of our recent primary suite designs, the dressing room is accessed directly from the suite’s entry foyer, separate from both the bedroom and the bath. That separation matters. It means getting dressed doesn’t compete with anyone else’s morning routine, and it lets the space be designed purely for its purpose, rather than sharing square footage and function with a bathroom vanity or a bed.
Flood the room with natural light
A 10 foot ceiling and two overhead skylights fill the room with natural light throughout the day. Natural light is the only true test for color and pattern. It’s how you know if that navy jacket is truly navy or black, and whether two patterns you’re pairing actually work together. No amount of recessed lighting can replace it.
Storage that showcases well
Full height wardrobe systems keep clothing and accessories visible 
and within reach, so your daily rotation isn’t buried behind seasonal pieces or special occasion wear. The goal is a system that works for you 7 days a week, not one that only earns its keep twice a year.
A 15-foot continuous countertop anchors the room, giving you real surface area for folding, laying out accessories, and getting ready without balancing a coffee cup on the edge of a dresser. It’s also where the room shifts from function to feeling, with lamp-based lighting layered in for a softer, more personal glow once the overhead light does its job.
